The benefits of feeding Biocell* live yeast can now be realised with very young calves and lambs prior to and during weaning. Biocell lac has been developed specifically for daily mixing into liquid milk or milk replacer. The live yeast is blended into a dextrose base for palatability and easy mixing.

Biocell lac encourages early rumen development, allowing higher levels of concentrates to be introduced sooner. Trials show that intakes of calf coarse mix can increase by up to 25% in the weaning period.

Biocell lac increases the numbers and activity of specific beneficial bacteria and competes with pathogenic organisms for adhesion sites on the intestinal wall. The yeast is not degraded in the stomach of the pre-ruminant calf, and not affected by antibiotics. Metabolism is enhanced, toxins are neutralised, and nutrients are better absorbed.
Biocell lac – FOR ADDITION TO CALF & LAMB MILK
Actisaf Sc47 pure live yeast on a dextrose base, with the addition of mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) to remove pathogens. A simple and effective solution to prevent calf scours and bloat in lambs by stimulating the natural immunity of the calf or lamb.
Feeding rate: Calves – 5g per day. (1 heaped scoop – 5 calves)
Lambs – 3g per day. (1 flat scoop – 6 lambs)
One bucket is sufficient for 24 calves for six weeks
